Why your support matters…
The 2023 NAMI Tennessee Vision of Hope Gala will be held at Hillwood Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023. We are thrilled to host a fully in-person event this year. Each year, our Vision of Hope Awards are given in honor of exemplary service by individuals who have demonstrated commitment and perseverance towards advancements in the mental health community. Our Courage to Share Award is given to an individual that rises above stigma to inspire others.
Mental health has become more important than ever for individuals, families, and communities. Before the pandemic, 1-in-5 Americans experienced a mental health issue annually. Over the past two years, the global prevalence of anxiety and depression has increased by 25%. People living with mental health conditions have become more vulnerable and even more isolated.
Tennesseans are still facing increased instances of mental health and substance abuse challenges due to the lasting effects of the pandemic. Our services are offered throughout Tennessee without charge, utilizing our professional staff, a network of 20 local affiliates, and hundreds of trained volunteers. As we settle into our “new normal,” the challenges facing the mental health community have not subsided, and neither have our efforts to provide exceptional support across Tennessee. Your partnership allows us to expand our efforts and to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by mental health conditions.
